In 2012, The LOOP radio station had a song contest to try to replace "Go Cubs Go". I was learning keyboards and during an exercise I can up with some lines and continued to finish the infamous  "We Love The Cubs". I recorded and put together a video and submitted my entry.

Friends called me to tell me that the DJ, the rock jock Jonathon Brandmeier was playing my song! Well the votes were tabulated and I did not win. The corporate suits wanted a more professional band. But Brandmeier liked my song so much that they contacted me to play my song at opening day in Wrigley Field where they were broadcasting - The Captain Morgan Club. My brother in law was not working and we sang the song after the nation anthem and before the winning group performed their song.

In 2015, the Cubs got into the playoffs and things got hot. Channel 9 News in the morning was going through videos and mine came up. The anchor Robin Baumgarten really liked my video and asked to play it again. She was really excited! Well I got a message from their producer to come in and perform my song live on the air. My brother in law happen to be off work that day but my daughter was in college in New York. Her friend Anna helped us out with my daughter's part. Well my live shot I kinda got screwed up but carried on and ended the show. We got to play again for "future segments" and nailed the song. My brother in law was happy to play on an acoustic drum set and we looked great!
